Dr. Chandra Shekhar has completed his MBBS from Mymensingh medical college in 2010. Then he passed FCPS (Anesthesia) with distinction from the very reputed BCPS. He has completed the first and second part of his exam in the first attempt. Then he applied for a fellowship in interventional pain medicine awarded by World Federation of Society of Anaesthetiologists. He was selected for the prestigious fully funded fellowship for 6 months and completed his fellowship in Interventional Pain Medicine in Virinchi Hospital Hyderabad. Here his mentor was Dr. Murli Dhar Joshi, a very famous pain physician. Under Dr. Joshi, he practiced various types of advanced interventional procedures. Returning to the country, he joined Suhrawardy medical college hospital  as a register and started a pain clinic there at Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical Collefe Dhaka. There he performed  the first case of Gasserian Ganglion Chemical Ablation in Trigeminal Neuralgia and other procedures of pain. He has successfully performed all types of pain procedures such as Gasserian Ganglion Ablation, Radiofrequency Ablation, Vertebroplasty, Percutaneous Osteoplasty, Transforaminal Endoscopic Disectomy, Interlaminar endoscopic Discectomy etc all advance procedures. He trained in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Pain Medicine from the Kaling Institute of Medical Sciences, Bhubaneswar in 2022. In 2024 He successfully completed internationally recognised degree in pain management  ‘the European Diploma of Pain Medicine (EDPM)’.

After this, he completed his fellowship in Spine Endoscopy from renowned Endoscopic Spine Surgeon Dr. Girish Datar (who is a national and internationally reputed trainer of Endoscopic spine surgeon from Miraj, Maharashtra ) and became the first Bangladeshi pain physician to successfully perform Endoscopic Discectomy. During this time, he has successfully performed various Minimally invasive pain procedures such as Vertebroplasty, Gessarian Ganglia Ablation, Celiac ganglion Neurolysis, Stelleate Ganglion Block, Percutaneous Spine endoscopy, and DiscFX etc.
