Dr. Chandra Shekhar has completed his MBBS from Mymensingh medical college in 2010. Then he passed FCPS (Anesthesia) with distinction from the very reputed BCPS. He has completed the first and second part of his exam in the first attempt. Then he applied for a fellowship in interventional pain medicine awarded by World Federation of Society of Anaesthetiologists. He was selected for the prestigious fully funded fellowship for 6 months and completed his fellowship in Interventional Pain Medicine in Virinchi Hospital Hyderabad. Here his mentor was Dr. Murli Dhar Joshi, a very famous pain physician. Under Dr. Joshi, he practiced various types of advanced interventional procedures. Returning to the country, he joined Suhrawardy medical college hospital  as a register and started a pain clinic there at Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical Collefe Dhaka. There he performed  the first case of Gasserian Ganglion Chemical Ablation in Trigeminal Neuralgia and other procedures of pain.
